The Excel Center has been helping our clients on the path to recovery since 2012. We are staffed with understanding professionals who work collaboratively with our clients to help them find happiness.
We recognize that substance addictions and behavioral addictions such a gambling or body image disorder can be extremely confusing for our clients. We know that it’s not just a case of stopping the substance or behavior. If it were that simple, most of our clients wouldn’t need our help.
However, the fact is that there are an estimated 22 million people currently in recovery in the United States alone.
Addiction is a treatable disease – it doesn’t have to be a life sentence.
We believe in compassionately working with our clients to uncover the root cause of these behaviors. We then address these with a personalized recovery plan to empower you to have a manageable and sustained recovery. We do this through our specialist addiction treatment team which is composed of psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and highly-trained support staff who are dedicated to delivering the highest possible standard of care for our clients. We place you at the forefront of your own journey. We believe in placing you at the center of your treatment and provide a nourishing environment for you to heal and grow.
We know that most people are unfamiliar with how the rehabilitation process works. This is completely normal – our application process is designed to be as simple as possible. Our caring staff will provide all of the guidance you or your loved one needs to make the journey into recovery as streamlined as possible.
We specialize in offering treatment to younger adults and adults in mid-life. At the Excel Center, we believe that recovery is possible for anyone, no matter what age or background. However, different groups of people face different challenges. As such, we make sure that the treatments we offer are varied and meet each of our clients’ exact needs. We consider the different life experiences, pressures, and histories of everyone who seeks help from us.
What addictions do we treat?
Many people who are in active addiction do not understand why they cannot stop. Our clients typically arrive at Excel Center, having tried to stop of their own accord multiple times. This can lead to feelings of guilt and shame. Addiction is not a moral failing – it is a recognized disease. Prolonged exposure to substances alters the physical makeup of the brain’s reward pathways.
This means that people will compulsively seek the substance or behavior they are addicted to, despite the negative effects it may be having on their life. Addiction also greatly diminishes the power of choice. Many people find that their behavior in active addiction is very far removed from their usual moral compass.
The list of addictions we treat are:
- Prescription Drugs
- Synthetic Drugs
We don’t just look at the substance or behavior our client is engaging in – we look at the reasons why our clients are using them. No two people are ever the same, and as such, no two addictions are the same. We approach treatment with an open minded, judgment-free, and goal-oriented attitude.
We provide exceptional outpatient treatment to our clients, focusing on empathy and clinical excellence. Our ultimate goal is the wellness of our clients – this is why we offer a range of services designed to perfectly match our clients’ treatment requirements. This includes outpatient and intensive outpatient. We also offer a partial-care program that provides accommodation to our clients whilst they are receiving treatment.
Our clients can expect to receive psychiatric treatment, medication assessment, one-to-one therapy, and group therapies. We also offer a family program. It is this holistic approach that makes the Excel Center unique in the world of addictions treatment. We provide an all-encompassing service that takes care of every need of our clients.
We appreciate that addiction doesn’t just affect those who experience it directly – often, families are caught in the fallout. We know that recovery is easier with an understanding support network, which is why we encourage family members to be involved in our clients’ recovery. We offer supportive therapeutic services, which can educate families on the nature of addiction and how they can best help their loved one, and how they themselves can heal from any of the damage done. Through this, we aim to restore harmony to the entire family unit.
The Excel Center is committed to long-term recovery. This is why our client’s time with us doesn’t just end when their program does. We are proud to be an integral part of the recovery community in New Jersey. We love to support our clients on their ongoing journey. We provide aftercare programs. We are also partnered with several sober living houses that provide safe and secure accommodation for those just starting their journey.
