The Milestone House is certified by New Jersey Alliance of Recovery Residences (NJARR) and is granted a waiver to offer “supportive recovery services” from the State of New Jersey Department of Community Affairs (DCA).
Having graduated the Morris County Drug Court Program in 2005, Mr. Frank was inspired to spearhead the creation of an alumni association with the Drug Court Coordinator, Charles Johnson. The Alumni Association of the Morris County Drug Court (AAMCDC) was thus formed as the first Alumni Association for New Jersey Drug Courts. In 2016 received his certification as a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) and has completed his training in the Opioid Overdose Recovery Program (OORP).
In 2012, Mr. Frank co-founded Excel Treatment Center (ETC) an Outpatient Substance Abuse Program. Mike is very excited to be hands on working closely with his exceptional staff who bring expertise and care to the clients. Excel collaborates with many of the recovery advocates in New Jersey and Mike is committed to building these relationships, so Excel can best serve its clients and the community. Excel recently achieved JCAHO accreditation and is instituting family programs, mental health services and other state of the art programming.
Recently Mike opened a new “recovery” Coffee House, called The Good Bean. The Good Bean serves the recovery community, promotes health and wellness by serving organic products and establishes a safe and fun meeting place where 12 steppers’ can get together and enjoy a great cup of joe!
Mike is an advocate of spiritual growth through the process of the 12-steps. His vision of recovery community continues to mature through shared events such as open mic’s, recovery workshops and a variety of alumni outings.
