The Excel Difference

Compassionate, individualized science-based care

Excel Treatment Center exists specifically to provide kids, teens and adults with compassionate, individualized, science-based treatment of alcohol and substance abuse problems, emotional distress and behavioral problems — a welcome alternative to impersonal, bureaucratic “one size fits all” treatment approaches that many of our clients have experienced.

Our purpose is not to keep you as a client indefinitely.  Our purpose is to provide the tools you need to find peace of mind and stay sober, based on your unique needs and those of your family. We are your partner in treatment every step of the way.  You’ll work hand-in-hand with our team to develop the plan that will work best for you.

Here’s more about what makes our center special:

Locally-owned & operated

We’re a locally-owned practice and we care about our community.

We don’t answer to faceless bureaucrats hundreds or thousands of miles away who want to squeeze more money out of the business.

Practical, realistic and compassionate experts

We’re staffed by healthcare professionals who are truly invested in our clients’ outcomes. Our team of substance disorder treatment and mental health experts includes licensed clinical social workers (LCSW), licensed professional counselors (LPC), licensed drug and alcohol counselors (LCADC), and board-certified advanced practice nurses (APN).  We incorporate a broad range of additional therapies into our treatment plans, including yoga, meditation/mindfulness, and horticultural and art therapy.

Judgement-free respect for all

You are a unique and valuable person who will ALWAYS be treated with respect and dignity. We will never judge you.

Access to the most effective therapies

Excel utilizes proven treatment strategies like Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. When helpful for individual clients, the twelve-step recovery model is incorporated in our treatment plans. Small groups make sure each client gets individual attention and can fully participate.

You’ll find a comfortable atmosphere, without an intimidating “hospital-like” feel.

The latest science of recovery

We’re committed to providing substance abuse and mental health treatment that is backed up by research and science. For example, we use pharmacogenetics testing. This technology allows our Advanced Practice Nurse to prescribe medications more likely to work the first time based upon scientifically-validated genetic testing.

Our Advanced Practice Nurse also supports medication-assisted treatment, including on-site Vivitrol injections.
